Twin Study

We have recently been discussing what kind of style of horror film opening we would like to incorporate through the Mise en Scene. Particularly the main characters we will use.

We have decided to use twins in our opening. This is because we will be playing with the representation of the relationship between sisters, which is usually loving and sentimental.

Similarly, other films use siblings with the same incentive. For example... 

•  Mama - two sisters are both found living in a derelict forrest, and incredibly have been able to manage on their own, but their isolation has left the sisters ferrel and unable to communicate. This leads to a series of ominous events and the sisters shares ties to an evil beyond human comprehension.  

• Paranormal Activity 3 - although we have now decided our film opening will not the paranormal/psychological sub-genre we originally planned, we will use their concept of similar-looking sisters.

However, both these films have a paranormal sub-genre, the style we have decided not to produce and instead focus on a gothic/dark serial murder horror.
Consequently from this study, we have decided to use our friends Tamsin (above, right) and Grace (below, left), pictured below.
