Schindler's List

We found inspiration for our film opening in this editing technique used in this scene of the black and white film 'Schindlers List' (1993). The effect is the girl being the only one dressed in visible colour (red), whilst everyone else and the setting is black and white.

How could this link to our film opening?

We have thought about using this editing technique with a totally black and white picture of an eye with a red eyeball to emphasis the anger in the evil twins eyes. Red is a very bold colour to use as it has many connotations such as anger, death, lust and passion ,which would keep our audience guessing.
